Prime Video – Twitch Pitch
With our fabulous agency all-stars formed by our strategic partners GoSpooky and our production specialists over at Freaks 4U Gaming, we assembled a group of the most notable DACH creators and gave them the opportunity to pitch their idea of a short film in front of a jury full of entertainment experts. The connected campaign included various preparation livestreams of the creators, a sparkling studio live show and the final short film of winning creator Jasmin alias Gnu released on her YouTube channel. INSTINCT3 was responsible for the artist and campaign management along with the creative direction of all elements.
The Challenge
Kicking off the brand-new Prime Video DE Twitch channel with a blast is a challenging task connected to a variety of strategic obstacles. We migrated several streamer communities to a new Prime Video DE channel and activated this branded channel with exclusive content incentives in a live environment. This allowed us to always keep the customers in focus and create the best possible, most exciting immersive experience for them. With the dynamics of Twitch and a demanding live viewership, this was clearly something that we were required to take into account as we designed the vision of the channel launch.
The Idea
Our idea in itself is simple yet exciting – Reved, Shurjoka, Gnu, Maxim Markow and Simon Krätschmer received the chance to create their very own vision for a Prime Video short-film – all of them collected inspiration in various preparation livestreams and developed an appropriate pitch – these also fulfilled a unique task within this launch that was destined to include the community in the whole development process of each and every short film pitch. In the following live show, the jury which consisted of HandOfBlood, Lisa Ludwig, David Hain and Robert Hofmann rated these pitches along with the abilities of our candidates in entertainment-centered challenges. We also diversified our promotion for this campaign and included podcast placements, additional YouTube videos, social buzz and the infamous shave of HandOfBlood before the live show.
The Result
The show experience along with the prepartion livestreams resulted in a successful kick-off of the Prime Video DE Twitch channel including a truckload of meme-worthy moments, unpredictable creator interactions and the win of Gnu who was able to produce her very own teenage dream with the release of „Silicone Highschool“ in late July. Said release was accompanied by a school-themed live premiere show including most of the cast members and some BTS impressions. While the short film is available on her YouTube channel, it was a pleasure to unite a variety of communities and create content that is catered towards their individual needs as we were able to design a truly unique campaign experience.
